SS2-EP2- King Timmy

Listen Later

King Timmy, born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, is a young Latin artist. He always loved music in high school, and through playing basketball, he grew a love for hip-hop. He eventually started getting into Spanish music and was very much inspired by Bad Bunny after attending one of his concerts. His dad has a lot of friends in the entertainment industry and is introduced to many well-known figures who have given him great advice as an artist.

The young 20-year old artist describes performing as an adrenaline rush; King Timmy says, “I use my anxiety to my advantage and shake off my nerves by being energized throughout my performances; I let out the nerves that way.”

King Timmy opened for Antonio Rosario, but an awe-inspiring performance he did at the beginning of his career was his prom! He talks about how it was a great memory performing for many of his classmates and friends in the last event of his high school experience. King Timmy mentions that it felt great that King Timmy had support from his hometown, especially the people that he grew up with. Advice he would give his younger self, he says, “dream bigger and never be too satisfied; hard work pays off.” He supports all artists that love music and puts it into their music.
