This podcast explains John’s vision in Revelation 12:10, where Satan is cast down from heaven to this earth and a loud voice is heard saying that now is come strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ. These words describe the premortal establishment of God’s kingdom on Kolob after Satan was cast down, which is in the likeness of the Second Coming when the kingdoms of our God and his Christ will be established on earth. To establish the government of God after the war in heaven, an organizational council was held similar to the grand council that was held to organize the premortal church of God before the war in heaven. In the general council held after the war in heaven, God’s spirit children received their appointment to dwell on this physical earth, including the time of their birth, the place of their birth, and the family of their birth. According to the doctrine of election or the election of grace many faithful spirits who kept their first estate were appointed to be born into a favored lineage such as the house of Israel. Many were foreordained to exaltation and to enter the Patriarchal Order of the Priesthood. The Patriarchal Order was organized as a model for the full government of God during the patriarchal era, during the millennium, and during this earth’s existence as the celestial kingdom.
