Today we’re hanging out with one of Jesus’ best buds and first followers–Saint Andrew!

Picture this: Jesus strolling along the sea of Galilee, when he spots two brothers, Simon and Andrew, casting their nets. With a simple invitation, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men," they drop everything and follow him. Talk about a life-changing moment!

Now, fast forward a bit. John the Baptist points out Jesus as the "Lamb of God," and Andrew, along with another disciple, begins his journey. When Jesus asks them what they seek, Andrew responds with curiosity, asking where he stays. That simple question leads to a profound connection.

But wait, there's more! Andrew's not just a follower; he's a connector. When faced with the challenge of feeding the multitude, it's Andrew who spots the boy with the loaves and fishes, setting the stage for one of Jesus' most famous miracles.

And don’t forget that Andrew’s story didn’t end with Jesus’ death and resurrection–he went on to boldly spread the Good News across Greece and Turkey, even to the point of martyrdom. 

So, next time you think about the disciples, don't forget Andrew. He may not always steal the spotlight, but his unwavering faith and quiet strength leave an indelible mark on the pages of history.
