"How are we supposed to go out and preach justice by our lives without spitting on people and getting in their face and breaking people down? Just be this loving presence in the world," Father Perry tells us for the 23rd episode of our Lenten podcast. "What might this mean for us? How are we, or could we be, like the suffering servant? How are we, or could we be, like Mary. How might we be — and hopefully aren't like Judas — like Jesus the Christ? I think these scriptures are meant to dig down intuitively into us and lift up this stuff, and open up levels of spirituality that we might not even be aware of or don't think about much. This is a week to think — and not just with the head, but with the heart."
