We need a rule of life-a plan-a trellis for Christ to be formed in us. So we can follow the invitation from Jesus to abide in him in the everyday moments of our lives.

Are we being formed by accident, or are we intentionally arranging our lives around Jesus?

This is a process that ultimately only God does- as we're told in relation to our spiritual lives-only God makes things grow.
