Trailing 23-17 late in the first half, the Falcons went on a 10-0 run to take a 27-23 lead, but Pau Gasol fired the Lakers past the visitors from Metuchen with 14 of his points in the middle two periods to give his team a 33-27 early third quarter lead en route to a 50-42 victory. Quenton DeCosey led St. Joseph’s with 14 points while Karl Towns chipped in with 12 and Danny Brix added 6. Jimbo Long, Karim Awad, James Ziemba, Matt Greene, and Jalen Gilmore each added 2 for the Falcons.
