St Justin Martyr was born in Samaria around 100 A.D.  He is known for as the first Christian philosopher. The search for Christian truth was his life-long mission and he believed that the Christian religion answered the great questions about life and existence. Justin was also known as an apologist who in writing defends the Christian religion against the attacks and misunderstandings of the pagans. For staying true to the Christian religion, Justin was beheaded in Rome in 165.
