St Matts Sermons

This week, Mel McMahon unpacks the profound honour of intercessory prayer, revealing how God invites us to share the "wooden spoon" and partner with him in bringing his will to earth. Drawing from the teachings of Matthew 6, Luke 11, and Philippians 2, we learn that our Saviour stands in the gap for us, empowering us to boldly intercede for others. Make it your favourite daily habit to get indignant about the brokenness around you, clearing the way for his transforming colour and peace to land in the lives of those you love.

This week, Sharon Footit unpacks what it truly means to pray "hallowed be your name" by exploring the beautiful balance between God's intimate closeness and his breathtaking holiness. Looking closely at Matthew 6 and Philippians 1, we discover the danger of performing our faith for the approval of others instead of living solely to honour our Saviour. Make it your favourite daily habit to clear the distractions from your grandstand, allowing his love to bring true colour and life to your private moments with him.
