Our saint today is St. Paschasius Radbertus — a monk, scholar, and one of the great theological minds of the early medieval Church. Born in France in the late eighth century, Paschasius devoted his life to the study of Scripture and the mysteries of the Eucharist. As abbot of Corbie, he guided his community with wisdom and humility, seeking always to deepen their understanding of Christ’s real presence in the sacrament of the altar.
Though his writings sometimes stirred debate, his faith never wavered — and his work helped shape the Church’s understanding of the Eucharist for centuries to come. In this episode of Lives of Grace, we explore his life of contemplation and courage, his love for truth, and the enduring influence of his devotion to the mystery of Christ made present in the bread and wine.
