What a weekend of lefts and rights as NASCAR heads to its first road course races of the season. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be racing in St. Petersburg, Florida for the first time ever, running a doubleheader weekend alongside the IndyCar Series on the streets of St. Pete.
IndyCar ringers James Hinchcliffe and three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti will go toe-to-toe with full-time Truck Series standouts like Ty Majeski, Ben Rhodes, Justin Haley, Lane Riggs, and Chandler Smith.
Meanwhile, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series head to Austin, Texas and the challenging road course at Circuit of the Americas.
On Saturday, Xfinity will take center stage with road course aces like Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch jumping in for the race. The question is—can they outlast the full-time Xfinity contenders like Austin Hill, Jesse Love, and Justin Allgaier?
Then on Sunday afternoon, the Cup Series takes center stage in the Lone Star State. Once again, Shane van Gisbergen enters as the favorite on the road course, but could Tyler Reddick make history by winning his third race in a row to start the season?
