In an effort to keep things running as smoothly as possible through the School Counseling Office over these next few weeks, we wanted to provide you with some helpful guidance and resources to access. First, what should you expect as far as accessing counselors and important tasks typically completed through our office? 

* Counselors will still be accessible via email during regular business hours each day to answer questions, adjust scheduling requests, provide referrals to mental health supports, answer questions about online DK classes and summer school, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. 

* The office will be open from 7:00 am-3:00 pm to field phone calls, process transcript requests, process work permits, collect online fees, and complete any other responsibilities.

* We welcome patrons into the School Counseling Office, we do recommend calling ahead.  When you arrive you will need to be buzzed into the building. 

* Email will be our main means for communication.  Please be sure to check your school email every day for information and updates. 

* We will help to connect anyone in need of mental health support to community and/or crisis resources. Please do not hesitate to reach out as needed. Also take note of the resources listed at the bottom of our email signatures. 

 

Some topics you may have pressing questions about such as graduation, state testing, report cards/grades, senior internship, etc., we do not have answers to just yet. Our administration will be on top of communicating with you as soon as those decisions are made. 

 

We recognize that there are significant challenges academically that we will all have to work through together. Additionally, there may be challenges as everyone adjusts to a new concept of living with the Coronavirus. We are here to assist with those challenges as well and will be frequently communicating some resources to help with these new transitions.
