When the entrepreneur dog bites. When the small business bee stings. When I'm feeling sad. Kim and Kerry are talking about some of their favorite things again today – stacking and batching. Before diving in, it’s important to define exactly what it means for the pair. Stacking is the opposite of multitasking and one thing that’s able to be used for multiple purposes. Batching (not botching) is putting similar items together and staying in the zone for a dedicated timeframe so there are not so many on and off ramps. Staying in the one lane is critical to grow and start a business. Through this conversation Kim and Kerry unpack and chat about:

• Distractions, notifications and all the moving parts that can happen and take our attention. Kerry refers to them as flying unicorns, if we’re not careful all the shiny things can go flying across our radar and distract us from moving the needle forward.

• The importance of flexibility when it comes to stacking and batching workflows. If you’re in the zone and gathering momentum, sometimes continuing on for another 15 minutes can save time in the long run.
