Stacy welcomes Creighton Hilstad-Haan back to the pod to talk about the trends for fall into the holidays you’ll see at Henry Harrow in Wenatchee, WA. Before that Stacy talks about how her summer went (reflective) and shares a 3-part Ism inspired by therapy and life. After discussing whether they shower daily and cold pizza, Creighton dishes on what’s in store: from spiced nuts and syrups, bougie cocoa with even more bougie marshmallows and apple cider to puzzles that appeal to every age; plus, penguins and polar bears, nostalgic Santas and shades of amber, burgundy, blue and white. Creighton is awesome and Henry Harrow is worth the visit in person or online at www.henryharrow.com or visit at 30 S Wenatchee Ave. Wenatchee, WA. Stacy survived Covid with a brush and a set of watercolor paints; and not to be flippant, but she can now paint a cartoonishly cute ladybug. Her guests are Dr. JD Wyneken and Ashley Knebel, both Human Potential coaches and co-hosts of the podcast Staying Power. Meant to be a shared experience exploring resilience after the choices we make in life and work, JD and Ashley bring their own humanity, life experiences, and training as coaches to topics that can derail or decode our future. Welp, the diner dream is dashed, as Kirra Sherman said, that which is meant for you should not have strings.” But thanks to guest Jaynie Wetherbee, the owner/operator of The Well & Table in Issaquah, WA I still got to talk about running a restaurant. In fact, I fangirled SO hard I forgot to do the Icebreaker until the end, but that’s because Jaynie and her team have created a space that celebrates local resources as much as possible. Her story only inspired me more to pull the thread of what feels right to you, to stay true to that vision and to trust your experience and team. This episode is essentially a mash up of Don’t Ask Me to Talk (DAMTT) and STACY CONNECTS. It starts with the story of Coal versus a bobcat in which Coal loses 4 lives at once. Stacy’s -Ism is about curiosity, while Eric shares one about how, “sometimes things are better.” After an icebreaker (inspired by DAMTT’s Wheel O’ Topics) Stacy and Eric go into full DAMTT mode. Eric lets his feelings about marriage show and shares his go-to ice cream treat while Stacy recalls an incident with a melted gum cigar. They end discussing whether they’re morning people or night owls. To connect with Stacy, go to https://www.stacyconnects.com/

She’s a Hunter and a Gatherer
She’s also my guest and in agreement with me about juices! If you listen, you’ll understand and meet Ashley, owner and (smooth) operator of Ash Intel Agency. The -Ism this episode was about lying which aligned perfectly with Ashley’s skillset as a Private Investigator. I had so many assumptions about what she does, which means I had even more questions to ask than normal. Marrying her former career gathering data in tech with her passion for solving problems by hunting for information, assets, and even people, Ashley has found the perfect intersection from which to work. I can’t tell you what she looks like, but she wasn’t wearing a tan raincoat. Find Ashley at https://ashintel.com/. To connect with Stacy, go to https://www.stacyconnects.com/.

Catherine Bhattachar is an idealistic ideator and I’m here for it. She also convinced me to add a prefab burger to our (maybe) diner menu with two simple words: decision fatigue. She and her co-founder started Tiny Earth Toys with a mission to reduce toy waste and increase imaginative play, leaving behind nothing but memories. When their business model shifted, they didn’t go into a ‘blind panic,’ instead they went into ‘no refund’ mode - IFLYK (if you listen, you’ll know). Now they’ve launched a Kickstarter to introduce a modular playset that adapts for any child’s imagination and will transition into a bookshelf way easier than your child transitions into a pre-teen. Some people are good at a lot of things, others have the creative energy to do a lot of things, Liz Hampton is both. The owner of Lupine Home Services, Liz Hampton, came to me recently to talk about how to best pursue some other side interests she has. This episode gives some insight into how I work with clients; brainstorming, ideating, and tapping into who clients are to best serve their passion. It would be my talent if I were in a beauty content! To connect with Liz Hampton, go to www.lupinehomeservices.com/. To connect with Stacy, go to www.stacyconnects.com/.
