Stan Fitzgerald VFAF interviews Semi Bird gubernatorial candidate Washington 5-29-23

Stan Fitzgerald is a retired law enforcement officer from Caldwell, New Jersey, with a distinguished record of service. Starting his career at just 19, he rose to detective with the Essex County Sheriff’s Department, serving in court security, narcotics, and civil process units. Throughout his law enforcement career, he earned numerous commendations for bravery and exceptional service. Fitzgerald was a court-qualified expert in narcotics enforcement, making hundreds of arrests and participating in federal, state, and local task forces, including the DEA Task Force and Prosecutor’s Major Case Squad. He retired in 1999 due to PTSD and injuries sustained in the line of duty.

After retiring from law enforcement, Fitzgerald became a successful entrepreneur. Following what he describes as political persecution, he relocated to Georgia and became deeply involved in grassroots conservative politics in 2020 after the presidential election. He joined the Cobb County GOP and participated in election integrity efforts. Fitzgerald quickly emerged as a national figure in the America First movement, becoming Political Director and later President of Veterans for America First (VFAF)VFAF.US. He has met President Donald Trump 13 times and served in various campaign roles, including as a delegate and county chair for gubernatorial and congressional races, as well as officially on the South Carolina Trump Campaign.

As VFAF President, Fitzgerald used his background to produce and direct three politically focused films. His first, The Fall of Deceit (2023), examined political persecution and wrongful convictions, airing on Newsmax and premiering in Georgia. His second, Border Invasion — An American Crisis, was filmed in Eagle Pass, Texas, highlighting the southern border crisis and received national media attention, airing on the CTA Conservative Television of America Network and picked up by Salem Entertainment. Congressman-elect Brandon Gill and Brian Jack headlined premieres. Fitzgerald’s third film, VFAF Veterans for Trump — The Movement, was praised for its effort to mobilize veteran voters, earning accolades from Law Enforcement Today and distribution by Salem Studios — marking his third consecutive national release.

Under Fitzgerald’s leadership, VFAF has received endorsements and recognition from major conservative figures including President Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Byron Donalds, Kash Patel, Elise Stefanik, Jim Jordan, Mike Collins, and more. VFAF endorsements have been featured in campaign commercials, including those of Rep. Lauren Boebert, and frequently appear in national press releases with millions of online impressions. A USA Today Veterans Day ad campaign spearheaded by VFAF reached 140 million impressions.

Fitzgerald has conducted high-profile interviews with influential figures such as Mike Lindell, Cory Lewandowski, Laura Loomer, Tim Sheehy, and Tommy Vext, further boosting the organization’s influence and reach.

Now focused on state-level impact, Stan Fitzgerald serves as the Political Director for Georgia’s VFAF State Chapter, advocating for veterans and advancing America First principles. Reflecting on his role, he emphasizes the importance of donors, influence, and candidates:

“As a donor, I put my money where my mouth is. Influence is more than social media followers — it’s about real impact, brand reach, and winning elections. When President Trump or members like Lauren Boebert feature our endorsements in key races, that’s a mic-drop moment for what true political influence looks like.”

Fitzgerald remains committed to the America First movement, championing veteran advocacy, election integrity, and conservative grassroots activism across Georgia and beyond.
