Acts 7
In this chapter, we read about Stephen's trial before the Council: the Sanhedrin, Pharisees, Sadducees, and the High Priest. They accused him of speaking blasphemously against God and Moses, an accusation that was 'secretly induced' by some men. These men also said Stephen was going to 'destroy this place,' meaning the temple, and 'alter the customs of Moses, which was also invalid. Stephen defended himself by going down in history and mentioning Abraham to Jesus in all they did.
