Peter summarizes his letter in 5:13, "I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it." Peter concludes his letter with instructions to church leaders and the congregation as a whole. God wants his people to stand firm in the Grace of God. This changes how elders lead the church. It humbles us to submit to one another and to our Loving Father. Humility allows us to cast our cares on Him who cares for us. Humility gives us strength to resist Satan as we trust our Father. We can stand firm as we continue to trust in the grace of God together.
