In this final message of our prayer series, Alex Walker dives into the power of standing in the gap through corporate intercession. Using the book of Daniel as a guide, we explore how identifying with our community's needs, rather than just our own, transforms how we talk to God and represent Him to the world.
In this message, we look at what it means to have kingdom responsibility. In a world that's often obsessed with the "individual," Daniel shows us the power of the word "we". Even though he was faithful, he chose to personally identify with the sins of his people to seek God’s mercy. We also tackle the pitfalls of "worm theology". While it’s crucial to acknowledge we need a Saviour, if we just wallow in our own mess without looking up at Jesus, we’re only getting halfway there. True repentance is a bit like a dance: inviting the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts while keeping our eyes fixed on the righteous character of God. Ultimately, our intercession isn't just about our own comfort; it’s about being good image-bearers so that God gets the glory He’s due in our streets and across the nations.
