We are given our marching orders in the book of Ephesians. Please note that these orders are not given until we know two things: our new identity in Christ and our new power in Christ. The first three chapters of Ephesians outline both of these realities. It is only then that we are told what we must do.

We do not go out into the fray empty handed. Gods Word promises us seven armaments specially crafted by God in the power of the Holy Spirit set free by the victory of Christ on the cross. We will find ourselves not only being able to stand our ground, but God will be able to use us to rescue others out of this fallen world. There is a spiritual battle in which we are given this challenge: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power (Ephesians 6:10).
