Hey Friends and Family of TCC! Welcome to summer! We’re so glad you’re here as we celebrate God’s active grace in our lives. We’ve been praying that each of us would be drawn closer to Him in relationship and purpose. We believe that there is something supernatural that happens when people gather together in corporate worship and invite you to join us in a way that is authentic and real. As each of us participates we get to experience Him and encourage those around us.This summer we’re in a series of messages taken from the Old Testament book of Daniel. Daniel was written in a dark time for God’s people. They had been taken captive and were exiled to Babylon. Babylon was the center of the ruling country of the time. The Babylonians were ruthless, evil rulers who ruled people through fear and indoctrination.As we go through this series, we’re going to see and hear how Babylon, though a real nation from the past, is also a metaphor for the struggles those who choose to follow God face today in a world that is increasingly hostile to God. We’re going to learn that even though it doesn’t look like God is present that there is always a crack of light at the end of the tunnel because God is still active and in control. Believing and trusting Him by faith is key to having peace in the middle of tough times. We can stand strong.I’ve selected several books that will help give more context to today’s message.
