Sabrina Hope King has contributed significantly to the field of urban education as an educator, foundation executive, and strategy consultant. As a teacher of adults who had not completed school and incarcerated children, she learned early on that all students must experience a meaningful education connected to their lives. Upon completing her doctorate, she became an assistant professor of curriculum and teaching at the University of Illinois in Chicago and was granted tenure from Hofstra University.

As a professor, she trained future teachers and administrators in the areas of curriculum, instruction and diversity.She then held several leadership positions in the public and foundation sectors. These experiences led to her appointment as Chief Academic Officer at the New York City Department of Education where she impacted the work of over 1600 schools in the areas of curriculum, professional development and educational equity.Strengthened by her multifaceted experiences, Sabrina has developed a consulting practice focused on promoting, equity, diversity and culturally relevant practices.

Her team supports corporations and school teams in their work to create inclusive and successful work environments. Sabrina is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at Fordham University and serves on the boards of The Rensselaerville Institute and the South Bronx Early College Academy, a charter school in the South Bronx
