When we pray, we access the very person of God and are able to gain His perspective and His heart for the situations that we encounter here on earth. In a sense, prayer is a way UP to God that allows us to bring HIS HEART back DOWN to the people and situations we encounter. Prayer is powerful, and as Jason Phibbs explains in part 2 of "Stand," it is a discipline that we cannot ignore if we hope to stand against the forces that are fighting against us.
