Stanley Kurbrick, one of the greatest directors of all time, never recorded director's commentaries for any of his films. He felt very passionately about the audience arriving to their own conclusions. But it seems that on one rare occasion, he did make his intentions known and it is fascinating to consider. I love his vision for the ending of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
