Welcome to the un-cult-ured podcast!

Star Wars is inarguably one of the biggest cultural phenomena of the past century. It surrounds us, and binds us, and has shaped the lives of millions of people. It would be nearly impossible to do a “nerdy” podcast without talking about Star Wars, and it just so happens that 3 of our hosts absolutely adore Star Wars. (Well, at least before we got burned by the Last Jedi ;))

It’s also interesting to view Star Wars through the “former cult member” lens. Some Jehovah’s Witnesses were allowed to watch the movies; others were counseled for doing some. Some JWs had the toys; others were told they were demonic.
