Armed with only a basic script and minimal character designs, Marvel attempted to do a faithful adaptation of the original Sci-fi movie, in 1976. Did the know what a Wookie was? No. Did they understand the force? No. but dang it they have the best team in the biz to write and draw the dang thing.
