I believe that Starfield could win GOTY 2023 this year. After the Starfield Direct I said that if they could nail performance, it can win. Obviously the Starfield 30fps news loomed large and distracted from just how good the Starfield showcase was. I want to recap what stood out to me along with new Starfield gameplay details from interviews and previews.

While we said for a proper Starfield preview from more outets, we actually have new details from IGN. I also anticipate both Todd Howard and Phil Spencer dropping more Starfield news before the release date. If we see a Starfield GOTY nomination I will take that as a big win for the game even if it doesn't win.

Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The video game was formally announced during Bethesda's E3 press conference in 2018.
