SG1 learns that Ba’al has been hiding on Earth since his defeat at the battle of Dakara in Ex Deus Machina. We like that the goa’uld are still a thing in this new Ori era of storytelling.
We now have the new Stargate sitcom spinoff: Sugar Ba’als. Coming to SyFy next summer!
As much as Ba’al can’t be trusted to hold up his end of the promise he makes to live on Earth in peace, it would have been interesting to explore that. Just, every now and then we check in with Ba’al on a beach in Mexico, chilling with his sugar mamas.
We do want to know what human name Ba’al is using and we don’t remember if it’s something that is actually revealed. For now, we shall call him Simon Cliff.
It is kind of fun that this episode actually has a Deus ex Machina in it. Even if it is completely ridiculous.
