Sometimes life gets to be a bit too much. And usually that's when you would boot up something like Destiny or Helldivers to go shoot down waves of enemies. It's maybe not the "ideal" way to handle those feelings, but it's definitely a great way to blow off some steam.

But your good friend Jim had another idea this time. He wouldn't go into specifics, but insisted that the club he was bringing you to was both completely safe and legal. So why the hell not? You followed his lead. But as soon as you walked in the door you could tell this wasn't the type of club you were expecting.

This time of year has always been a difficult one. And not just for you, but for people all over the world. It's been noted by politicians and scholars and artists and people from just about all walks of life. It's very ironic that the time of year meant to be a time of happiness and togetherness ends up highlighting how lonely people actually feel.

You aren't alone, at least not really. You have friends and family who care and that's more than can be said for so many others. But there's always the hope that things could be better. And while you walk home from a small trip to the store for some basics you notice an unusually dressed woman walking directly towards you.

News of the incoming cold wave came out in advance so it was very easy to get all of the supplies you would need in advance. There will be no shortage of food, water, or blankets to keep warm with. You may be stuck inside the house for a few days, depending how much snowfall there is, but you will be safe.

But the last thing you expected was a visitor as the storm rages outside. Hesitant at first, you eventually decided to take the risk and open the door to talk with this stranger.

There has always been this rumor around town that people who make the trip to the ancient shrine have their wishes granted. And you never put any thought into it. Granting wishes? That kind of thing only happens in stories and movies.

But years of trying to find someone to spend your life with have always failed. So why not give it a try? It's not like there's much to lose. So you made your way to that shrine, and made an offering in the hopes of finding someone.

Talking animals used to be the subject of fantasy. But it's impossible to deny the sudden appearance of all kinds of half-human and half-animals. The world's scientists have taken to calling them hybrids. Nobody really knows why they just started showing up, but their numbers have been growing ever since the first was discovered.

And so you've gotten used to seeing and talking with cats, dogs and even the occasional bird. But a monkey? You've never had the opportunity. At least that was the case, until one locks eyes with you walking down the road and begins asking for help.

It's that time of year again. People all over the world tell their children to behave so that Santa will bring them presents. But then those children grow up and become adults who are... frankly not all that nice. Some of them are outright awful. And as you've also grown you've come to realize that people only grow more selfish with age.

You still do what is best for others as much as you can though. The world may be full of dark hearts, but that just means you have a chance to be a light in that darkness. Maybe making the day better for just one person can mean something? And maybe, just maybe, things work out for the nice guy in the end.

Your trip to visit the exiled guardian went a little differently than you expected. Not that you're complaining though! You were able to find her and have a nice conversation, and hear her side of things. And then one thing led to another and before you know it you're waking up in her bed the next morning.

Which is not at all a bad thing. But it also isn't why you made the trip here, and so you try to bring up the subject again. Maybe it's possible to find a way to fix this and make everyone happy instead of leaving things broken the way that they are?

It's almost like getting a wish. Or at least that's what they say. She doesn't take on every job offer and she doesn't often explain why, but there is no better tracker. If you want something found, or someone, she is definitely the one to go to.

And your sister has been missing for weeks now. Nobody else has been able to find a trace of her. So, out of options, you made the long trip to her den with the hope that she would be willing to help.

It's been a very long six months and you're still torn after all that happened. Your friends and family say that they want what's best for you, but they also drove away the only person who ever really understood you. And not just drove away, but got sentenced and set to a reformatory for five years.

Sure, she took things a little too far, but doesn't that just prove how much she cared? It's hard to believe other peoples words over your own heart. You just wish you could see her again, even just once.

Ok, so maybe you shouldn't have hit the guy. But what where you supposed to do? Your mom just recently passed away after a long, drawn out fight with a horrible disease. What right did he have to make fun of her? He absolutely had it coming.

But the guards didn't seem to agree. So you were quickly placed under arrest and charged with assault. And next thing you know you are standing before the captain of the city guard, waiting for whatever comes next.
