Go along for a great ride....
This beautifully-written little book is a behind-the-scenes peek of the life of one Uber driver, Steven Roy Grimsley, who may or may not be typical of the breed. But his vignettes provide insight into the lives and times of folks who are willing to entrust their traveling safety to a stranger whose driving qualifications are mostly taken on faith. Steven lets his characters reveal themselves, sometimes through his gentle prodding, weaving together stories that are thoughtful, contemplative, wild, outrageous and just plain fun.
The book made me think about researching becoming an Uber driver, but in the end I decided it would be a lot more rewarding to just spend random evenings sitting in the back of Steven's car and going along for the ride.
