Are you living your dream — or someone else’s? Be honest with yourself here. Because there are a lot of us living according to others’ expectations, striving to be the person you think others want you to be instead of showing up as the person you want to be. Today, I’m here to tell you: it’s okay to put it all down.
What is unconventional, anyway?!
Just because it’s unconventional for other people, doesn’t mean it’s unconventional for YOU. And your unconventional thing might be exactly what you — and the world — need.
I recorded this episode from a hotel in Santa Monica, where I’ve come to enjoy a retreat. It’s been a beautiful experience, but I’ve also been experiencing a lot of activations from triggers related to being a “good” daughter, sister, wife, friend, and human. As I’ve stretched my own capacity for love, healing, and abundance, I’ve felt my own unworthiness speak up to let me know all the ways I’m “doing it wrong” and harming others with my selfishness.
But I know, in my heart and soul, that the part of me that feels like it needs to be “good” and the part that’s undeserving are not my parts at all. In fact, those parts are telling stories I don’t even believe. They’re not even my parts at all. They’re someone else’s.
I invite you to reflect on any activations you may be experiencing in the topic of your own abundance, truth, and the dreams you may be living for anyone but yourself.
