Start talking about mental health issues

Listen Later

2 in 3 of us at some point in our lives will suffer from an issue in our mental health. Talking about mental health with others can be tricky, and there is still a stigma around mental health. However, talking about what's going on in our head with others is important, now, more than ever, in our current society.
Today on GetPsyched, we explore the signs to spot whether or not someone is suffering from mental health issues. It's also cover the importance of understanding our role in talking to others about their mental health difficulties. The position of trust we put ourselves in when someone confides in us is something that should almost never be broken.
There are some more serious circumstances that we need to discuss in this video, so we also discuss what to do if someone is suicidal, how can you make sure they get the help they need.
