This week on "This One Thing" Kerri Kenyon Dern and Melina Puente launch a four-week series in the book of Philippians. Throughout this letter, Paul pours out his appreciation and love to the close-knit community of believers who stood firm in their commitment to Christ and their support of Paul. In Philippians 1:6 Paul writes these encouraging words to his dear friends, "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." 

Do you struggle to feel "certain" that God is doing a divine work in your life and circumstances? Don't give up! He will give you everything you need from start to finish! This promise reminds us to remain humble, encouraged, and dependent on Jesus each step of the way. We can be confident that God sees our internal struggles and the challenging circumstances we face in life. He is at work in all of it. Sharing from their own experiences, Kerri and Melina remind us that God is using everything in our lives to bring glory to Himself and to draw others into seeing His power and goodness. Because of His promise to faithfully accomplish His will within us, we have the certainty we need to keep our eyes on Him and run the unique race He has called us to!
