Meditation 15 minutes
Start where you are. That’s what they say, isn’t it? But what if I don’t like where I am? What if my throat is sore and my head aches and I have a coughing fit every few minutes which distracts me and I forget what I’m supposed to be doing? What if I try to force myself into some other, more comfortable place? Drink some water (I may be dehydrated). Run a bath (the steam might clear my head). Do some yoga (maybe a stretch will help).
I may try to settle down to meditate, with the idea that meditation will 'fix' me. But what if there is no 'fixing’ to be done? What if this is just where I’m at right now? Or, as Tara Brach says :“Who am I when I am no longer believing something’s wrong?”
