Massive imperfect action. We've heard that many, many people, many, many times, many, many ways. Massive imperfect action. I want to do a three-episode series on massive imperfect action. So a little backstory, if you see DMN8 partners out and about, and where we have on our dominate gear, our t-shirts, or we have a t-shirt I should say that has our logo on the left chest. And then on the back, it says production and then a line, and then perfection under the line production over the line. Perfection under the line, what does that mean? Well, it means production over perfection. If you come into our office, we have signed multiple signs up that talk about the work over the thought or the work over contemplation. You see business owners today get stuck because they aren't doing the activity. They aren't doing the things that can make them money. They're not doing the things that can give them opportunity. Little over, well, just a little under, I should say. Now, five years ago, I started doing this thing called Facebook live into a Facebook group that I created. It was called the sales and marketing mafia. And some of you may remember if you were back in the day, February of 2017 is when I started the sales and marketing mafia. And I started promoting the sales and marketing mafia by going live on my personal page, getting people interested, and then getting them to join the sales and marketing mafia. And I remember within like the first two months I had a thousand people join and we started just talking about ways to grow your business with sales and marketing. And I continued going live daily, weekly, monthly on and on. And when I started the sales and marketing mafia, the purpose was to help business owners weed through all the crap that was given online, that was bad information. That was really that, that was the why. That was why I created it. And I was asked in February of 2017, why, why are you doing this? What is your end goal? Don't have an end goal. I was asked that multiple times, I don't have an end goal. What is it you're trying to accomplish? I'm trying to accomplish giving good information over bad information. Yeah, but there's gotta be something personally you're trying to accomplish. No, really, that's what I was trying to accomplish. At the time, we had a very successful exterior cleaning, Christmas light business. That's how I made money. And that was, that was the focus. In fact, we had just got done completing a five-year plan, where we had mapped out how we were going to grow and expand this business into a $5 million operation in the next five years, we just got done doing that. So my purpose and my point was to help others. So I just started providing information, got into a lot of arguments with people. Had people call me names hurt, hurt me so bad hurt me so bad. Had people say it was dumb. They know what I was talking about. I was an imposter. I was a failure, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I just kept putting out the content, kept putting it out, kept putting it out, kept putting it out. Then in September of 2017, we had someone reach out and say, Hey, can you help us learn Christmas lights, learn the Christmas light business. Not just how to install, but how to price, how to get customers, how to keep customers, how to run the business. I'm sure we could do that. What are you thinking? Well, could you do a webinar? I mean, I hate webinars, like I suck at webinars. I was like, but you know what I'm good at? I'm good at doing live videos. So let's do this, pay me 400 bucks and we'll do four live videos about marketing. We'll do four live videos about installation. We'll do four live videos or we'll do four live videos about marketing and pricing four live videos about installation and four live videos about your business, 12 videos, 400 bucks, boom, bada bing and we sold 30 spots. 30 spots, and, I was on live video. So I got to thinking, well, Christmas lights is part of our business. Our other part of our business is pressure washing. That's where the majority of our revenue came from. So what can we do to help them grow their business? Cause it gotta be a lot of people out there who want help. So we started offering, Google Adwords setups, and we manage it for 90 days. And then if you want us to continue, we can continue. So we started doing that in January of 2018. And the reason why I came up with that was I was speaking at a convention, and in speaking at that convention, someone told me, "Hey man, you probably, you probably should have something to sell you." I don't have anything to sell. I'm going to speak about how to get more business with property managers. That's what I'm going to talk about. And so I came up with something to sell and that was the Google ad words set up. And so September of 2017 happened because I did the work in February of 2017. January of 2018 happened because I did the work in February of 2017. I kept doing the work over and over and over again. Was it all perfect? No, but it was massive and it was continuous and it was action. And by doing that continued work, I'm where I am now. We have a business where we've helped thousands of business owners in one way or another, grow their business. We have a hundred clients monthly that we work with to help them be found on Google in multiple different ways. We've created hundreds of websites. We've optimized hundreds of websites. We're in spaces other than pressure washing. We're in spaces other than home service. I consult to businesses to where we don't do any of the marketing. I just give them consulting advice to help them improve their conversion. All of that happened because of the massive imperfect action from February 2017. What's the purpose of this podcast to tell you to start your massive imperfect action today, don't think about it. Don't go try to plan it.
