Starting Fresh: Leaving It All For A New Beginning With Mark Robinson!
Welcome back to another episode of Open Shutter as I welcome photographer, custom home builder, and all around handy man, Mark Robinson! I met Mark five years ago at a meetup in Toronto and he suggested that I organize a day out to his cafe in his hometown of Bowmanville. Needless to say, it was a great day out and glad that we were able to visit because since then, him and his wife have sold the cafe, their home, and have started a new beginning up north!
While this adventure sounds exciting, Mark discusses his anxiety and stress with the move, the challenges he faces, but at the same time, takes pride in knowing it can be done.
Mark's early beginnings in the trades began with his father's teachings and where his skills have developed into building his own custom home. Mark's creative spirit has allowed the house to be built to how they want it to look including his own man cave to listen to his favourite vinyl records.
Mark shares his experience working with photography clients, why you need to edit to your style, and why failure is important to success.
