We all have to start somewhere and as writers and authors, starting can seem so overwhelming.

There is so much learning to be done, so many things we have to know and all that can seem 

insurmountable. 

And before we know it, we quit before we even begin. 

And even if we have started, the progress we make may not be what we wanted. 

It's slow and can feel like a snail crawling a hundred meter track. 

It seems impossible. 

But we have to understand that everyone starts from zero. 

There was a time, a best -selling author didn't know anything about marketing, editing, formatting, etc.

There was a time they struggled to sell one book. 

But over time, they learned the skills that needed to be learned.

Was it hard? Most definitely, but they never quit. They kept at it, making progress, learning and growing. 

No matter how daunting the task ahead of you may appear, don't give up. Keep at it. 

We all start from zero.
