Debbie Weiss turned to writing in 2013 when she lost her partner and high school sweetheart of 32 years, George, to cancer, and found herself on her own for the very first time in her life. She is the author of, Available As Is: A MIdlife Widow's Search For Love about creating a new life after widowhood. She joins us on this podcast to tell us about her experience living on her own and finding her new love and new life in her 50's.

Her writing has been published in the New York Times' Modern Love column and Huffington Post among other publications. A former lawyer, she's proudest of earning her MFA in creative writing at age 56.
