Lately, I’ve been feeling a persistent desire to create and share…something. WHAT that something is, I’m not entirely sure. But I’ve realized that in order to figure it out, I’ve got to start somewhere.

A video from Maegan Tintari, a longtime fashion creator and OG blogger inspired me. She’s been on the Internet so long that I interviewed her for my thesis about blogging and personal branding at USC in 2012.

Maegan is sharing her story – of the ups and downs and inevitable changes of life – and encouraging others to just JUST START. To DO the thing that’s calling you, whatever it is. One step leads to the next.

For years, I have had a note in my phone, literally titled “Just Start” filled with snippets of ideas and thoughts that go nowhere. And I realized that I can start, and want to start, so here I am.

I keep saying I want to start a podcast, but I don’t know what to talk about. I’m making up excuses as to why I “can’t” do it. I feel like it needs to be perfect. I need someone to talk to. It’s going to be terrible and no one will listen anyway.

But I’ve got to break through that fear and show up for myself.

So today, I recorded myself, chatting with myself, on my walk with Midas. Attempting to introduce myself and where I’m at in life. An update that I would and have shared with friends – for friends listening here.

It’s brief, and a little erratic, but IT’S A START and I’ll go from here. It’s Champ’s Corner.

I’d apologize for the neighborhood sounds and questionable quality, but I’m not sorry! I’m glad I’m putting it out there, however imperfect it may be. (I do plan to improve it in the future).
