The STAT Teacher Spotlight is a video Q&A series featuring great teachers who inspire discovery of the world through science. If you know a colleague with an amazing story, nominate them to be featured in a future Teacher Spotlight by emailing STAT at [email protected] with the subject line Teacher Spotlight.
Meet Carrie Alexander, a chemistry teacher in Waxahachie ISD who has been teaching since 2000. There has been lots of transformations in kids, teaching practices, and schools, and she’s learned that if you don’t learn how to roll with all of the changes then they will swallow you up. Carrie really enjoys helping young teachers learn how to teach and helping struggling students learn.
