Mississippi State and Ole Miss both had five hits on Thursday. Both teams hit two home runs. The difference in the game came after a walk and an error that extended the inning. Kevin Graham hit a three-run bomb that proved to be the difference in a 4-2 decision.

State has to win this series to keep their regional hopes alive. Now the Bulldogs have their backs against the wall.
