Horseshoe crabs are unmistakable: they look almost like dark brown hubcaps and move like army tanks. Their name comes from their shape, which is similar to a horse’s hoof. Horseshoe crabs are prehistoric: they have not changed much in over 400 million years, almost 200 million years before the first dinosaurs.
