Last week Friday was a day dominated by major political stories with former president Jacob Zuma deciding to withdraw from the commission of inquiry in state capture. While that was happening, the Public Protector ruled against the current president Cyril Ramaphosa that he misled parliament over a R500 000 donations for his election campaign. Since both leaders are high ranking members of the ANC, where does it leave the party when it comes to issues of factionalism? And since Ramaphosa is a sitting president, where does it leave us as a nation?
