In recent days we’ve received a concerning number of calls regarding the state of road user safety in the Eastern Cape, in particular around the Umtata to Lusikisiki road in regards to the state of the road and the disregard by drivers for the rules of the road. The calls highlighted the dismal state of the state of the road infrastructure in the entire province of the Eastern Cape, and how some drivers seem to not care to adhere to the road rules.
