Greg sits down with Jeana Ross to discuss new legislation she sponsored that aims to limit screen time for Alabama’s youngest students.

The Healthy Early Development and Screen Time Act (HB78), recently signed into law by Kay Ivey, establishes statewide guidelines for how electronic screens can be used in early childhood education settings, including Pre-K and kindergarten classrooms. The law directs the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education, along with other state agencies, to develop research-based standards for appropriate technology use and to provide training for teachers and childcare staff.
