A first-of-its-kind guaranteed basic-income program in New Mexico will benefit 330 undocumented or mixed-immigration status families. Starting next month, each family will receive $500 monthly for 12 months. The pilot program was initiated by the New Mexico Economic Relief Working Group, made up of Somos Un Pueblo Unido, El Centro de Igualdad y Derechos, New Mexico Voices for Children, New Mexico CAFé, and Partnership for Community Action.
