Love him or hate him Elon Musk is a successful CEO and quintessential eccentric entrepreneur. Years ago he infamously replied after being ask what encouraging words would he give an aspiring entrepreneur with “If you need to be encouraged you don’t need to be an entrepreneur!”
No, I’m not interviewing him, but after social listening to a spirited discussion on LinkedIn about whether or not entrepreneurs agreed with his sentiment I wonder if there needed to be a deep dive on the difference between encouragement and validation.
