Exodus chapter one, verse 11, says, "Therefore, they set task masters over them to afflict them with their burdens, and they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses." A strategy of the enemy is to keep the Children of God focused on building things that are neither eternal nor in line with their actual purpose in the world. You and I are called to build the Kingdom of God. The enemy, however, can distract us from our purpose and calling by getting us to build treasures on this Earth that will rust, rot, and eventually come to nothing. My purpose in life is to strengthen you and equip you so that you can go out, win the lost, and be an influence wherever you are. We must not become distracted building a name for ourselves, but instead stay focused on the call of God, to be free first, and secondly, to set others free. For you and I, it's time to pray.
