We were joined by Marie Spano, one of the leading sports nutritionists in the United States. She is the consulting sports nutritionist for the Atlanta Braves, and has previously worked with the Atlanta Falcons, the Hawks and the Thrashers. She is known for solving complex problems from severe muscle cramping to gastrointestinal issues, and helping professional athletes with performance. Marie was the lead author for the textbook Nutrition for sport, exercise and health and has authored several other book chapters. She graduated with her masters in nutrition from the University of Georgia.
