Sometimes the hardest thing in life is to persevere in the midst of difficulty. When doubt, fear, disillusionment, and trials come our way, it is so tempting to abandon the way of Jesus. Peter challenges his readers to stay the course in the midst of mocking, slander, and ridicule. Today we also are to stay the course when the waves of life get choppy. The only way to do this is by keeping our eyes on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
