Staying safe at the beach: Rip currents and heat [Encore]

Listen Later

National Weather Service Meteorologist Steven Pfaff joins the Carolina Weather Group to discuss ways to keep your family safe at the beach this summer. Steven helps us understand how to avoid rip currents, dangerous waves, coastal flooding and other hazards you may experience along the coast and at the beach. For boaters, Steven also talks about safety on the water and out at sea. And as the Carolinas moves into its first heat wave of the season, Steven explains the signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
This is an encore episode of the Carolina Weather Group originally aired in 2020.
