Donte was raised in a combination of Black Pentecostal and Baptist traditions. Donte discusses how his path to finding authenticity through his identity is deeply connected to the evolution of his spiritual views. He holds master's degrees in Black Studies and Religious Studies and is currently a Doctor of Ministry student at Meadville Lombard Seminary.
